Golf Cart Bridges, Charteris Bay Golf Club

A club member testing out the new bridge and Surefoot footings by driving his golf cart across the completed bridge

To enable the bridge to be manufactured offsite and lowered into place, it required the Surefoot to all be installed level so time was taken to provide the prefect foundations

A big benefit of Surefoot and a poplular reason for its use is that there is little disturbance to the work area and very low environmental impact.

Once the footing is positioned and the fist few micropiles are driven in the Surefoot pilecap is essentially locked in place and multiple piles can be driven at the same time

Due to the large imposed loads of the bridge with big spans and the location close to the river the engineers required the SF500 to be installed with its 12 micropiles.
